I know this is an old video but it might help some new homestuck cosplayers! If you don’t want your headband to be visible then you can glue teased wool onto it. Make sure it’s black wool tho. This usually works best with short or curly wigs like Karkat or Gamzee

i'd honestly just paint the white accents to the cuffs on the sleeves and the collar. seems easier than sewing a ribbon xD

Great Job and wonderful CosPlay! Some simple sewing tips: if u double the fabric on the blouse it wont be see through. before u sew front and back together, sew right sides together and turn inside out leaving top unsewn. this leaves the bottom of blouse to not need to be hemmed, just a top stitch on the bottom to clean it up. same for skirt, doubling fabric makes it stiffer and helps keep pleats in place after washing and wearing. If you press all seems before and after sewing and add top stitch it will also help with keeping lines clean and cut down on ironing after washing.

I know this is late but I just happened upon it and am absolutely in love with your style! I respect it as a fellow artist even though I am not too good. I can not express how much I love your style. I appreciate the fact that you keep the realistic factor of the art piece in play while simultaneously still having that cartoon look. I love the combination of the two styles, and I also think it is hard to master without having an unbalanced portion of the two. Overall I adore the painting and I hope to see more pictures like this in the future! Also, your choice of music in the video is on point.
